With the exception of small, liberal arts colleges where random chance of which students join the small incoming class can determine a lot of the vibe, basically every year of students in every t20 college in america is the same. Apr 1, 2022 · the last thing i'll say is that while coming to harvard felt a bit like being thrown into the deep end, there is a really strong academic support system available. I wish i had taken advantage of my advisor and my professors/tfs more last semester, as that would definitely have helped my transition. The subreddit for a university in boston.

I also was an interviewer for harvard for over ten years a lot of my friends asked me why i chose harvard over howard. It was because harvard paid but howard didn't. I would have created a better networking group at howard though. I also wouldn't have frozen my buns off! Having said that, being in mather was the second best thing to happen to me while at harvard (the best was meeting my wife!). Mather has so many positives it is hard to even begin listing them, but my favorite was the kitchen being separate from the central kitchen and the beautiful sunny dining hall with unmatched river views. It's like harvard has to put barriers for everything and make everything so hard to get. Specifically, i’m considering using the pathway from mitx data science to the alm in data science program at harvard extension school, followed by using the special student status to transition to harvard’s campus. Not really relevant to most people but kind of annoying.
